Coverage is limited to the southeastern U.S. and Caribbean. ZIP codes outside the map area are rejected.
Important: Levels 0–7 are a custom educational index, not official NOAA/NHC categories. For U.S. ZIP codes, the map attempts to retrieve active National Weather Service alerts for the ZIP's approximate center. Alert titles are translated into a simplified score; this is not a complete hurricane-risk calculation. For Caribbean locations, this version locates the place but does not yet calculate a live island-specific score. Check the National Hurricane Center and local emergency-management agencies for official information. Never use this map alone to make evacuation decisions.
